Our skin produces fats that protect it from drying out, but our lifestyle (washing dishes, bathing children, showering, washing hands, disinfecting...) is such that we constantly destroy and remove these fats, especially on our hands, so intensively that the skin cannot replace them in sufficient quantities and on time.
Therefore, it is extremely important to include hand and nail care products in our daily body care routine, as the skin around the nails is particularly exposed. It needs to be helped by adding fats that will soften, smooth and improve its structure. This way, the cuticles will not dry out and become damaged.
What about nails? Nails are made up of about 100 layers of keratin. When we get them wet, the keratin absorbs water and the nails expand. When the water evaporates, the nails shrink. The constant stretching and contracting of keratin weakens our nails, which begin to split and peel. You can also think of nails as a piece of wood, made up of many layers; when the wood gets wet, it swells and expands, and when it dries, it shrinks and becomes brittle. If we still varnish the wood, it can still expand and contract, but the varnish cannot; so the varnish peels off and peels. And the same goes for nails.
